Things That You Can Do In Oklahoma City

The capital of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City, is in the center of the state, located around the Sandstone Hills region. The North Canadian River divides the city. Bordering the state is Kansas, Arkansas, Texas, Missouri, and New Mexico. It being in a central region of the U.S. suggests that there are moderate to high temperatures year-round, dry Summers, and the rest of the months there is a normal amount of rain. There are lots of attractions and things to do in Oklahoma City if you visit, including:

1) Check out The Museum of Osteology, the only skeletal musuem in the U.S. (how fascinating, yet scary)
2) Hiking the numerous walking trails in and outside of the city
3) Look at the great scenery and landscapes in the surrounding areas outside the city limits
4) Walk around and delight in the amazing architecture and green spaces
5) Visit The Art or History museum, where you can about the history and people of the area
6) Try your luck at Casino gambling, and then watch the horse races in Remington Park
7) Enjoy an afternoon at the a water amusement park (feel like a kid again, or bring the whole family!)

The attractions listed above are only a sampling of what is available to you in Oklahoma City. There are also many movie theaters in Oklahoma City, restaurants, bars, and numerous night clubs as well. Upon arriving in the city, you will be able to easily find out about what there is to do and see. You may be able to pick up publications in the local Oklahoma City grocery stores (such as Buy For Less, Akin’s, Homeland, Sage and Crest Foods), with listings inside of things to do or schedules of events. Ask at museums, cafes, or tourism centers for publications, or try asking the locals who may just be willing to help you find things to do and see, to make it a worthwhile vacation!
